Management Strategies and Engineering Sciences (MSES) is a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary academic journal committed to advancing the fields of management, engineering, and related sciences. It seeks to publish high-quality, original research that bridges the gap between theory and practice, offering insights that contribute to both academic knowledge and industry applications. As an open-access journal, MSES ensures that all published articles are freely available to the global community without any subscription or access fees. This open-access model promotes greater dissemination and visibility of research findings, supporting a more inclusive and equitable scholarly environment.
MSES is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of scholarly publishing. The journal operates under a double-blind anonymous peer-review process, ensuring the integrity, objectivity, and quality of the research it publishes. This rigorous review system involves at least two or three expert reviewers for each submitted manuscript, who provide critical feedback to help authors refine and strengthen their work.
MSES publishes articles across a range of topics, including but not limited to management strategies, industrial and systems engineering, production management, engineering sciences, business operations, and technological innovation. The journal is indexed in several reputable databases and archiving services, ensuring that published works are preserved and widely accessible for years to come. With a commitment to fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and innovation, MSES serves as a valuable resource for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers alike.

Open Access Statement
MSES is a fully open-access journal, which means that all published articles are freely available to anyone, anywhere in the world, without the need for a subscription or payment. This aligns with the journal’s commitment to the democratization of knowledge and the promotion of global access to scientific research.
By adopting the open-access model, MSES ensures that the knowledge generated by the academic and research community can be widely disseminated and utilized, regardless of institutional affiliations or geographic location. The journal does not impose any access barriers, allowing readers to download, read, and share published articles freely.
In doing so, MSES follows the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), which advocates for the unrestricted availability of scholarly literature. The journal believes that open access is a powerful tool for accelerating research, fostering innovation, and enhancing the impact of academic work on society as a whole.
Copyright and License
At MSES, authors retain full copyright to their work, empowering them with control over how their research is shared and reused. The journal operates under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), which provides a flexible framework for open access publishing while protecting the intellectual property rights of authors.
Under the CC BY-NC 4.0 License, authors grant the public the right to share (copy and redistribute) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon) their work, provided that:
- Appropriate credit is given to the original author(s),
- The work is not used for commercial purposes,
- Any adaptations or derivatives are clearly marked as such.
This license enables the wide distribution of scholarly work while preventing unauthorized commercial exploitation, ensuring that the research published in MSES remains accessible for academic, educational, and research purposes.
Plagiarism Policy
MSES takes academic integrity very seriously and adheres to a strict anti-plagiarism policy. To maintain the quality and originality of the content, all submitted manuscripts are subject to a thorough plagiarism check using iThenticate—a leading plagiarism detection software widely used in the academic publishing industry.
Plagiarism in any form—whether it be verbatim copying, paraphrasing without proper attribution, or the inappropriate use of another author’s ideas without acknowledgment—is considered a serious ethical violation. If a manuscript is found to contain plagiarism at any stage of the submission process, it will be immediately rejected.
Authors are strongly encouraged to cite all relevant sources accurately and ensure that their work is free from any form of academic misconduct. The journal reserves the right to retract published articles that are found to have breached its plagiarism policy.
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
MSES is committed to supporting an equitable and accessible publishing model. Therefore, the journal does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APCs). This means that authors are not required to pay any fees for the submission, peer review, or publication of their articles.
The journal’s no-cost publishing policy reflects its mission to promote open access to knowledge without placing financial burdens on authors. MSES believes that eliminating APCs helps create a more inclusive scholarly environment where researchers from diverse backgrounds and institutions can share their work with a global audience, regardless of their financial resources.
Peer-Review Process
The peer-review process is central to maintaining the quality and credibility of the research published in MSES. The journal employs a double-blind anonymous peer-review system, which ensures that both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous throughout the review process. This helps to mitigate potential biases and ensures a fair and impartial evaluation of each manuscript.
Here is an outline of the MSES peer-review process:
-
Initial Submission: Authors submit their manuscript to the journal through the online submission platform. The editorial team conducts an initial assessment to determine whether the manuscript aligns with the journal’s scope and quality standards.
-
Assignment of Reviewers: If the manuscript passes the initial screening, it is assigned to at least two or three expert reviewers who specialize in the relevant subject area. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and qualifications.
-
Double-Blind Review: The reviewers evaluate the manuscript without knowing the identity of the authors, and vice versa. They assess the manuscript’s originality, methodological rigor, significance, and overall contribution to the field. Reviewers provide detailed feedback and recommendations for improvement.
-
Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editorial team makes a decision on the manuscript. The decision can be one of the following:
- Accept as is
- Minor revisions required
- Major revisions required
- Reject
-
Revisions: If revisions are requested, the authors are given an opportunity to address the reviewers’ comments and resubmit their revised manuscript. The revised version may undergo another round of review, depending on the extent of the revisions.
-
Final Decision: Once the manuscript has been satisfactorily revised, the editorial team makes a final decision on its acceptance for publication.
The peer-review process is typically completed within a reasonable timeframe to ensure that authors receive timely feedback while maintaining the rigor and thoroughness of the evaluation.
Archiving and Repository Policies
MSES is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of the scholarly content it publishes. The journal adheres to established archiving policies that safeguard articles for future access.
-
Self-Archiving Policy: MSES allows authors to deposit the pre-print (submitted version) and post-print (accepted manuscript) versions of their articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, or academic networking sites. Authors may self-archive their work without any embargo, ensuring that it remains accessible to the academic community.
-
Archiving in Repositories: To enhance the discoverability and preservation of its published content, MSES collaborates with reputable archiving services such as MAGIRAN, SID (Scientific Information Database), and NOORMagz. These repositories are recognized for their role in curating scholarly content and ensuring that it remains available to future generations of researchers.
